The Story Behind MarginReset.

"I was a ghost in my own chair."

My name is Christopher Lynn. I’m a Senior Technical Program Manager. For over 15 years, I’ve managed the roadmaps, the budgets, and the backlogs for some of the biggest technical programs in the world.

For most of those years, I thought I was winning. I was the operator who could handle the pressure. But while I was winning at work, I was slowly losing at home.

I was the dad who closed the laptop at 4:55 PM but didn't actually "arrive" home until 8:00 PM. I’d kiss my wife while triaging a Slack thread in my head. I’d sit at the dinner table and look at my kids, but I wasn't listening. I was still in the incident channel from three hours ago.

I was physically in the house, but I was a ghost. I was suffering from **Work Residue**—the mental byproduct of a high-stakes career that my family was forced to pay for.

MarginReset was born when I realized that if I didn't install a hard system to "Reset" my brain before the door opened, I would miss the most important project of my life.

I applied the same systems thinking I use at work—identifying latency, reducing drag, and building operational stability—to my own home life. It worked for me, and now it’s working for hundreds of other technical leaders who are tired of being half-present.
